About Us

A Short introduction to Culleton Lawyers

Our firm has represented our clients in all court systems, having acted in cases at the High Court of Australia, Court of Appeal and all other courts.

We were created to provide legal services in a way that is personal, good value and what we would want as a client.

On 1 July 2022 we acquired Rebecca Bailey and Associates in Shellharbour and created the business Rebecca Bailey with Culleton Lawyers. Rebecca Bailey and Associates was originally established in 2010 and has been providing exceptional legal services in the Illawarra. We are pleased that the staff of Rebecca Bailey and Associates joined our team on 1 July 2022 and we can continue to provide an exceptional service to the Shellharbour and Illawarra Region through both our Wollongong and Shellharbour Offices.

At Culleton Lawyers, we promise to listen, analyse your situation and provide you with the right advice. Sometimes this means helping you buy or sell a home or business, or enter into a lease. It can mean looking into planning your estate, making sure that your situation is right for your circumstances.

At other times, it can mean meeting you at a most difficult time, with issues such as a family breakup and issues over children, facing court proceedings or being injured. We have years of experience in listening and understanding your situation, asking the right questions to make sure that your situation is handled in the right way. We like to say to our clients that let us make your problems our problems, and that you are in the right hands.

If your situation is around elder abuse and issues of capacity or mental illness, then we will guide you through the process and let you know your rights and what we think you should do.

Above anything else, we will provide you with advice as soon as possible, and let us take the stress on for you.

Our relationship with you:

It takes time for you to trust your lawyer and understand our role. The law is often difficult and can be seen to be unfair. We will listen and understand your situation and explain your situation and options.

We will do our upmost to make you feel comfortable and believe in us as your lawyers. If you do not understand anything, please ask us.

How we charge:

  • We charge for the time taken to complete the required work for you.

  • We will give you an estimate of fees in writing at the earliest opportunity.

  • We accept legal aided clients and work as hard for them as any other client.

  • We are WIRO approved for workers compensation claims.

  • In the right case, we act on a no win no fee basis.

  • We are happy to give initial advice by telephone.

  • When possible, we give fixed fee quotes.

  • If anything does not make sense, please contact us to answer any query.

I need a second opinion on my matter:

If you have a solicitor, there can be some frustrating times when you are not sure how it is progressing, or you are struggling to understand the legal process, It often leads to changing law firms.

In these situations, it is always good to contact another law firm to see what they think about how things are going. Sometimes it is simply to confirm that the matter is going as expected, but can otherwise mean there has been a communication breakdown or that the lawyer is not the right lawyer for you.

At Culleton lawyers, we often are asked to provide our views and we are always available to have a confidential discussion. Contact us by telephone on 02 4243 7855 or by email: reception@culletonlawyers.com.au to have a conversation.
